Sanofi Genzyme - 7 month co-op
Sanofi Genzyme, was the specialty care unit of Sanofi, focused on developing therapies for rare diseases, multiple sclerosis, oncology, and immunology. In 2022, the company transitioned to the unified Sanofi brand as part of a global rebranding effort.

During my seven months at Sanofi, I focused on social media campaign management, gaining valuable insights into the power and intricacies of digital marketing.
Although I did not personally design the assets for Sanofi Genzyme’s social media channels, I played a critical role in managing and executing these campaigns, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with brand guidelines. Coordinated campaigns across five platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
My responsibilities included:

Digital Campaign Management – Managed the editorial calendar for social media marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent and timely publishing across platforms

Content Workflow Optimization – Improved campaign efficiency by cataloging social media plans and approved assets, streamlining workflows for more consistent publishing and brand alignment.

Social Media Publishing – Published social content across multiple platforms, aligning posts with brand guidelines and optimized schedules to boost awareness in a fast-paced environment.

Community Management and Safety Monitoring – Monitored patient-facing social media responses, identified adverse drug reactions, and reviewed pharmacovigilance reports to ensure patient safety.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborated with cross-functional teams to review social media analytics and KPIs, using insights to refine communication strategies and ensure consistent brand messaging.

YouTube Channel Organization – Utilized organizational skills to categorize content on the Sanofi Genzyme YouTube channel, creating and organizing playlists for various digital campaigns, grouping videos by themes to enhance viewer navigation and engagement.

This role gave me a firsthand look at the strategy, collaboration, planning, and quick thinking needed to succeed in digital communications, especially in a highly regulated industry.

Examples of Instagram Story Posts
We used Instagram Stories for quick, informative health content aimed at patients. Initially, we noticed a high drop-off rate, with users exiting before reaching the final frame. To address this, we streamlined the content, keeping it brief and on-brand, making it easier for viewers to engage with the full story. After several rounds of testing, this approach led to a significant decrease in drop-off rates.
